Ruby Aruldass, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN
Ruby Aruldass, Avila’s Carroll County office Director, has extensive experience in healthcare and is passionate about serving seniors and their families.
Fifteen years ago, Ruby began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in long term care, and was inspired to work with seniors. “My friends have always said that I have an old soul- I’ve really loved working with seniors and hearing their stories since I was young.”
Ruby decided to pursue both a Nursing and Business degree, with her education culminating in a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice from Walden University. Ruby then worked with Carroll and Sinai Hospitals, as well as several skilled nursing facilities.
When Ruby met Danny O’Brien, Avila Home Care’s Founder and CEO, through a mutual friend and colleague at GBMC Healthcare, she was intrigued by Avila’s name and what it stands for. “Avila’s values and mission are very unique among health care settings, and they perfectly align with my own beliefs and reasons for serving seniors. Compassion and kindness are evident in Avila’s entire team of Caregivers and office staff.” Ruby knew right away that she wanted to be a part of the Avila team, helping to make Avila’s vision for serving seniors in Carroll County a reality.
Ruby’s primary responsibilities in her role as Director of Avila’s Carroll Count office include building relationships with care partners in the community, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice, local hospitals and senior centers, as well as home health care groups. Ruby performs new and current client assessments, hires and trains Avila Caregivers, and oversees scheduling.
In her free time, Ruby loves to crochet and knit, as well as reading and taking walks.
