In 2006, I received an unexpected invitation to become the pastor of Grace Fellowship Church. In my younger days, I served in a ministry to teenagers called Young Life and earned my seminary degree. While I had never had the ambition to be a pastor or lead a church, I couldn’t say “no” when I felt God ask me to serve in this way. The past decade has been an amazing privilege of partnering with the families at Grace. We initiated, and have grown, a beautiful ministry for people and families affected by disabilities. I’ve had the holy honor of being alongside people who are experiencing illness, physical and emotional challenges, and death.
