KC Bozeka

Client Services Manager

KC joined the Avila Home Care team after working for 7 years in event planning and management, first for a Baltimore-based catering company, and then with a hotel and conference center in Potomac, Maryland. “My career has been in the customer service industry, and seeing the impact of COVID-19 around the world inspired me to want to help others by pivoting to work in the healthcare industry.” KC learned about Avila from a friend, and after speaking with Danny, she knew she wanted to be a part of Avila’s team and mission. “I feel very blessed to work with such a compassionate team, and to provide support to so many families during an unprecedented time.”

KC graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and has enjoyed applying the skills she learned in college and her years in customer service to understanding the unique needs of each of Avila’s clients. KC matches clients with a Caregiver with whom they can feel safe and confident, allowing them to build a relationship for as long as care is needed, and in some cases beyond.

“I remember when my grandfather’s health was declining, and he lived with us until in-patient hospice care was needed. It was an incredibly emotional and stressful time that we got through as a family, but we would have benefitted greatly from working with Avila’s Caregivers.”

KC is proud to be part of an organization that can be a support system for families, and that also serves as an important resource for elder care in general.

KC is married with a 1 year old baby girl, and loves cooking with her husband and rooting for their favorite sports teams. They also have one rescue dog, but KC shares that if it were up to her husband, they would rescue all the dogs, cats and pigs that their house could hold!
